Two Sanctuaries Hike

Twice a year, Allan Ceen (friend, professor, colleague of Nick, who lives in Rome) does the "Two Sanctuaries" hike with his family, and this time he invited anyone from EHP who would like to join him. It's a long hike from Diana's Temple to Jupiter's Temple, from the base of Lake Nemi to the top of the mountain, ending in a town called Castel Gandolfo. The entire hike was something like 10km, about 7 miles, but mostly uphill the whole way. We left the Cenci at 6:30am and didn't get back until 7pm, so minus travel time and we were hiking for 8 hours I'm guessing. It was physically exhausting but so beautiful and worth every step.
